Season after season all regatta's she'd endure
She won the cup the fastest ship and this we know for sure
For 17 years no challenger could best the champion ship

Auld Angus and his crew were quite the team
The Bluenose was the fastest ship

A submarine from Germany had caught her in the sights
They surfaced and called, "Are you zee Bluenose?"
Angus said "Tha's Right!"
"I'd sink you with torpedoes now if you were not the champ.
So get back into the harbour now I cannot sink this ship,
'Cause you're the schooner none could lick!"
She's Obsolete in '46 eventually was sold
A freighter in the Caribbean this was now her home
Laiden with bananas as she struck a Haitian shoal
Her back was broken hopelessly,
she floundered on the reef
She broke apart with no relief!
She was the champion of the seas
