My 3 hundred 50 dollar car got us to chiago where we're wasting
Vast amounts of time at this guys house where we're staying

My brother and his friend whose kinda push have been staying
Here at our friends house in Chicago where I'm taping
All the albums that I want to from the guy with whom we're staying

And we're heating up the left over deep dish pizza
In the toaster in the kitchen and I'm going to the comic store today

Where we we're 4 days ago before we came to Chicago
I almost thought we wouldn't make it we lost a tyre on the highway
but now we're sitting in Chicago and on the sculpture in the park
Was some non-horse graffiti done by my friend Lou from Brookland
God knows what its doing here and what the odds are that I see it
Life's amazing when that happens its the purpose of graffiti
And I'm sitting on a sofa in chicago eating pizza
Distance sure is funny in this age of crazy travel
I pronounce the world insane the judge laughed and threw his gavel

I should mention that this morning I was interviewed
for some fashion magazine via telephone from England
Obscure I guess is the new famous my brother said I did a good job
And he's going down town to the chicago art museum
when he's finished with his pizza
And there at the museum is my brothers ex-girlfriend
We didn't know that she was in Chicago when we came here
and she's living with a woman who's her girlfriend in the way
That a boy will have a girlfriend which was unsure when she said it
cos you know.......how girls can have a girlfriend that only means a friend
And it's3pm already and we haven't left the house
This is what happened yesterday I said that it would end today
And its all greek it me , when in rome , blah blah blah
But if we don't leave the house you know we might as well have stayed home
So come on....lets go out side and rome
